Controller Education: Learning with the Help of Control Characters

چکیده :
One of the goals of control engineering is the appropriate use of controllers. Due to the variety of controllers, their memorization poses a challenge. Therefore, the use of innovative and efficient methods can improve the quality of control engineers' education. In this article, a novel method for teaching different types of controllers is introduced. In this method, each controller takes on an imaginary character. This character has similar characteristics to the controller. The appearance of these character is designed as a cartoon representing each controller. According to survey results, students welcomed this method due to its attractiveness. They believed that this method improves the memorization of educational content. They also found this method suitable for review or starting the education. Approximately 91% of the students preferred this method to be used for their future education.
